Natures Aid: Herbal Medicines

In 2004, a European Directive on Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products (2004/24/EC) was introduced. Traditional Herbal Registrations are granted by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and require the quality and safety of the product to be demonstrated.
Efficacy is based on the traditional use of herbal medicine, provided the claimed pharmacological effects are plausible. In 2009, EchinEeze paved the way for Natures Aid to become the first UK manufacturing company to achieve a Traditional Herbal Registration.
